Privacy and local storage

When you voluntarily send the contact form, we process the information you enter—such as your first and last name, email address, telephone number, location, project type and description—to respond to your enquiry, assess your project and take the requested steps before a possible contract.

The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request. Fields marked as required are necessary for us to handle the enquiry. Our hosting, database and email providers may process the data as processors acting for us. We do not sell your data.

We retain an enquiry while needed to handle it and provide appropriate follow-up. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise its personal data unless we must retain particular information for longer to meet a legal obligation or deal with potential legal claims.

To remember how you reached the site during the current tab, we use browser session storage (sessionStorage) under the key hok_attr. It is not a cookie, contains no personal, account or device identifier, and is not shared between tabs.

It may contain only the hostname of the external referring website, the path of the first page visited—with no query string or fragment—and, when present, utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. Each value is limited to 200 characters. The tab's first source is not overwritten as you navigate the site, and the browser normally removes this storage when you close the tab or end the session.

HOK reads this information only if you choose to submit the contact form. It is then stored with the enquiry so we can understand its source. It is not used to build a profile, identify you across websites or show advertising.

HOK does not currently use Google Analytics or add analytics or advertising cookies. The functionality described above uses functional session storage only, so we do not display an analytics consent banner.

The site loads technical resources from Calendly, an external appointment scheduling service. If you open the booking flow, you interact with Calendly and information you provide there is processed under Calendly's own privacy and cookie policy. HOK does not send the source information in hok_attr to Calendly and does not record a Calendly booking as a conversion on this site.

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, object where applicable, and request data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, email sebastia@wearehok.com and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
